Ofsted Report 2008/2009

outstandinglogo08-09_rgb_50St Margaret Clitherow’s is ‘Outstanding’

In January 2009, we were visited by Ofsted, at which time they carried out a thorough inspection of our foundation stage, key stage 1 and key stage 2 classes. They observed the way in which we look after the children in our care, the quality of resources and equipment available to the children, our policies and procedures, and generally evaluated the service we provide.

We were informed of the outcome of the inspection at the end of the visit and we are happy to tell you that we were judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in almost every aspect of what we do.

RE Inspection

SECTION 48: INSPECTION OF THE CATHOLIC LIFE OF THE SCHOOL.

In October 2013, we were inspected under Section 48 and the judgement on our school was Outstanding!

Our latest report says:

St Margaret Clitherow School is an outstanding school. The Catholic ethos and the
School’s Vision and Mission are explicit and  can  be  articulated  by  Pupils,  Parents,
Staff and Governors, being the foundations on which everything is built and lived out.
A culture  of  openness  and  trust prevails  and  forms  the  basis  for  the extremely
positive  relationships  throughout  the  school  which  are  recognised  and appreciated
by  Parents  and Governors.  The Parish  Priest  and  other  Governors value  and
applaud  the  work  of  the  school  in  the  community  in  which  staff  members  can  be
seen playing an active role in the parish.

In March 2016 we had an interim inspection of RE. We continue to be an Outstanding school.
